How to make RIP routing with Ipv6 using Paket Tracert

  1. Please make a networkin topology like this bottom. Don’t forget, Give clock rate on the interface s0/0/0 on the router1.

     

     

  2. The following is configuration for router 1.

    Router#ena

    Router#configure t

    Router(config)#ipv6 unicast-routing

    Router(config)#interface fastEthernet 0/0

    Router(config-if)#ipv6 enable

    Router(config-if)#ipv6 ADdress 2001:470::1/64

    Router(config-if)#ipv6 address fe80::1 link-local

    Router(config-if)#no shutdown

     

    Router#show ipv6 interface brief

    FastEthernet0/0 [up/up]

    FE80::1

    2001:470::1

    FastEthernet0/1 [administratively down/down]

    Serial0/0/0 [up/up]

    Serial0/0/1 [administratively down/down]

    Vlan1 [administratively down/down]

     

    Router#configure t

    Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

    Router(config)#ipv6

    Router(config)#inter

    Router(config)#interface s

    Router(config)#interface serial 0/0/0

    Router(config-if)#ipv6 enable

    Router(config-if)#ipv6 address 2001:471::1/64

    Router(config-if)#no shutdown

     

    Router#configure t

     

    Router(config)#ipv6 router rip ciscorip

    Router(config-rtr)#exit

  4. Setting ip address on the PC3.

  5. Setting ip address on the PC2.

     

  6. Setting ip gateway on the PC3.

     

  7. Setting ip gateway on the PC2.

 

  1. Check your ip configuration on the pc2 and pc3.

     

     

  2. Check connectivity whit ping. PC 2 to PC 3 and vice versa.
